Waste Removal for Commercial Kitchens & Properties
Grease buildup and septic waste both need to be removed on schedule and disposed of properly. We take care of each job from the pump-out to the drop-off at an approved facility.
Grease Trap Cleaning
Fats, oils and grease cool and harden inside your trap while food solids settle underneath. We pump out that buildup and clear the trap so wastewater keeps moving and odors stay down. Regular service also helps you keep up with local pretreatment rules.
Septic Waste Hauling
Septic waste has to end up at an approved facility, and it has to get there in a properly equipped truck. We load it, haul it and handle disposal, so there's nothing else for you to arrange.
Savings for Those Who Serve
Veterans, military personnel, first responders and police officers save on service with us. It's our way of thanking you.
Mention the discount when you schedule. It can't be combined with other offers, and restrictions apply.
How Often to Clean a Grease Trap
A common guideline is to clean a grease trap once grease and solids fill about a quarter of its depth. Past that point, the trap stops catching grease well and more of it heads toward the sewer line. For many restaurants, that works out to service every one to three months, depending on:
- The size of the trap compared to your kitchen's output
- How much frying and grilling is on the menu
- Your hours and daily volume
Your city or sewer district may also set a required interval, so check local rules before settling on a schedule. We'll help you find a frequency that fits your kitchen.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to grease trap waste after it's pumped?
It goes on our truck and is hauled to an approved disposal facility. Grease trap waste can't go in a dumpster or back down the drain, so you don't have to figure out where it ends up.
Does Cowboy Miller offer emergency grease trap service?
Yes. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, and emergency service is available for backups and overflows.
Can enzyme additives replace grease trap cleaning?
No. Enzymes and bacterial treatments break grease into smaller pieces, but those pieces can harden again farther down the line, where they're harder to reach. Food solids still collect at the bottom of the trap either way. Many sewer districts restrict these products, so regular pumping remains the dependable fix.
